So Last week was my Birthday and as always, it was a busy week. My brother came to visit and took me to the Rangers/ Yankee game. Not really a fan of either (I’m an Angels fan, duh) but it was a fun time. No time to work out, but walking up and down a stadium with the Bledsoe boot is quite a workout. Friday was my party and that was just a busy day if you know how I throw parties. I was worried I was going to drink and eat too much and end up gaining 10 pounds. Thankfully, I didn’t. Saturday, my brother, cousin and I went to play golf on a walking only course. Not a good idea with the hairline fracture in my foot, but the boot handled it well. And 9 holes equaled a little over 6 miles walking. Saturday was another night on the town. And Sunday was a day long clean up of the after effects of the party. I feel like I’ve been slacking.
BUT…
I got the greatest birthday gift. Carrie gave me the Speedo Aquabeat MP3 player! So I can now listen to music while swimming laps. Now I really will be a fish. Unfortunately the rec center is closed for maintennance til wed. So until then I am going to just chill.
And watch the US Swim Team own the world!
So I have been swimming about 2 miles a day. Tuesday I started weightlifting. Worked out the upper body for an hour and a half. Took a break from working out Wed. because I was sore. So to make up for it I swam two and a half miles. Two of those miles using the resistance paddles. The effect? my upper body is so sore it hurts to move. Think I’ll do it again next week ;P
